| Star Festival |

We had the tanabata, or Star Festival yesterday (Here's a detail about the festival at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tanabata). We have a tradition of writing our wishes on small piece of papers (called tanzaku) and hang them on bamboos. Legend says that what you wish on a tanzaku will eventually come true.
Yesterday we had a small party at a restaurant. There they had a bamboo and a waitress asked us to write our wishes on tanzakus and hang them on the bamboo. I have not done this for twenty years! I remember wishing like ``wish everything I wish will come true'' as a kid. Yes, I was a geek from the start!!
And you may want to know what I wrote on the tanzaku yesterday. Well, I wrote like ``wish to be a conqueror of the world'. I will never grow up to be a mature adult...*SIGH* |

| Slutty high-school girls |
[Jul. 2nd, 2006|11:49 am] |
Last week I found a very-slutty-looking high-school girls on my way to work. She's wearing a VERY short skirt, a shirt with three buttons off from the top so that you can almost see her boobs, and so on. In fact it is not difficult to find these kind of girls here. It is like there are high-schools for bar waitress.
I talked about this at the lunch table. My french colleague told me that she too was amazed to find school-girls with VERY short skirts on. She asked me if schools allow them to wear like that. I told her the SECRET. They ROLL UP skirts once they pass school gates (I have witnessed the scene several times).
Strange world, isn't it? |
